Essential Question: How do we find information online that is "reliable" and "valid"?
In the library, we are learning about valid and reliable sources. When searching for information online, it is important to use websites that we trust. While "googling" is a quick way to find something, we have to make sure that when we are doing research, we use websites that we know are reliable and appropriate. The following websites and online databases are appropriate for research with grades K-4.
ON LINE DATABASE ACCESS
These websites have been selected to meet the educational needs of primary school students. Students are introduced to the use of the online data base as part of their instructional program and are encouraged to use it from home for research and assignments. These web sites have been selected for their efficiency in accessing information, student-friendly interface, and age-appropriateness.
